Glasgow aims to be the UK'S first "net-zero" city

Glasgow has unveiled plans to become the first city in the UK to reduce its greenhouse emissions to "net-zero", one of them is to include mass charging points throughout the city for electric vehicles. Net-zero is the point where the same volume of greenhouse gases is being emitted as it is being absorbed, by trees for example. Glasgow City Council and Scottish Power say they will work on a range of programmes to help the city reach this target before 2045.

What do you think about this? Are these changes necessary at the moment?
