The Philippines has proposed a law under which students will be required to plant at least 10 trees before they are allowed to graduate from primary school, high school and university. Lawmakers said 525 billion trees could be planted in a generation if the law is properly implemented. The trees shall be planted in forest lands and mangroves, among others.

Good idea! It is believed that in one's lifetime one tree should be planted. Ten? Even better to counteract the effects of global warming.
