Yesterday, Thursday 13th of May, two oil tankers, one norwegian and one japanese, were damaged by explosions in the Gulf of Oman. This would be the second time in a month that explosive attacks have been carried out against oil tankers in the region. This has put the safety of the area at doubt, which is very important considering that a third of the crude oil of the world goes through the Gulf of Oman. What's astonishing though, is that nobody has claimed responsiblity for the attacks. President Trump claims that the government of Iran is behind the attacks, but Iran denies any responsibility and only declared that the attacks are "suspicious". The US had also blamed Iran for the previous attacks, but this time they have evidence: aerial footage of a white boat removing an unexploded mine, after the explosions set off.
