US Military concerned about "Storm Area 51" meme

A Facebook event called "Storm Area 51, They Can´t Stop All Of Us" invites people to meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction (which is a gas station) on September 20 and coordinate their entry to Area 51. The goal is to break into the military compound in search of aliens, which, according to science fiction movies and TV series, are supposed to be there. This post became viral and 1.3 million people have signed on to attend so far.

But the US military responded, and they don´t seem to like the event at all. The US Air Force told the Washington Post that “Area 51 is an open training range for the US Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces. The US Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.”

Do you think this went too far? How many people do you think are going to show up?
