Cousins Esteban and Marco Grimalt managed to add the third gold medal for Team Chile in one of the brightest days for the national delegation in the Panamerican Games that are held in Lima, Peru.
The athletes took first place in beach volleyball after beating the Mexican team made up of Juan Virgen and Lombardo Ontiveros, current champions and whom the Creoles had already surpassed at the premiere in Group D in a tight match.
Marco and Esteban won by partial of 21-19, 22-24 and 15-10, thus awarding the highest prize without losing any game and completing six celebrations online.
In the first manga, the Grimalt cousins imposed themselves solidly, while in the second chapter the Aztecs began to defend better and there was a dramatic outcome. The Chileans had championship points that they failed to achieve and everything was defined in a third set. In the tiebreaker, they were again impeccable and did not let their chance escape.
