More than 12.000 kids died or suffered mutilations during 2018 due to war effects. According to the Annual report of the United Nations General Organization for Children and Armed Conflicts published on Tuesday more than 24.000 children had their rights violated while other 12.000 where killed or mutilated, mostly by crossfire explosives or battle. This numbers are causing a lot of preoccupation in the organization after they noticed it is the highest number in history. Also other 7000 kids were involuntarily recruited for war during this same year around the world, mostly in Africa. I think that all this conflicts are a shame but is way worse that children that don’t have anything to do with this and that can’t defend themselves are suffering because of the action of others. US Military concerned about "Storm Area 51" meme

A Facebook event called "Storm Area 51, They Can´t Stop All Of Us" invites people to meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction (which is a gas station) on September 20 and coordinate their entry to Area 51. The goal is to break into the military compound in search of aliens, which, according to science fiction movies and TV series, are supposed to be there. This post became viral and 1.3 million people have signed on to attend so far. But the US military responded, and they don´t seem to like the event at all. The US Air Force told the Washington Post that “Area 51 is an open training range for the US Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces. The US Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.” Do you think this went too far? How many people do you think are going to show up?

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon grew more than 88% in June and puts organizations on alert.

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon grew more than 88% in June and puts organizations on alert. Several ONG's related to environmental protection that this problem is directly related with President Jair Bolsonaro and his way of doing politics encouraging ilegal logging and strengthening the idea of impunity among the ones who commit it. The ilegally deforested area in the Brazilian Amazon grew 88.4% in June vs the same month the year before. It's the first time that deforestation has grown for two months in a row since the arrival of President Jair Bolsonaro, who has been favorable to a relaxation of environmental regulations in the country. In my opinion this needs to stop right now because the Brazilian Amazon is one of the most important ecosystems in the world and hosts a variety of animals and plants. Also it is one of the most important oxygen producers in the planet, so it is not just for animals but for the greater good of the whole planet.
